Gamarjobat Goes Solo
It has been confirmed that Ketch! will be leaving Gamarjobat at the end of March 2019.
HIRO-PON and Ketch! started performing as silent comedy duo Gamarjobat in 1999. Since then, they have had the privilege of performing on stages not just in Japan but all over the world.
HIRO-PON plans to continue performing as Gamarjobat in a new form starting in April.
HIRO-PON and Ketch! ask for the continued support of our fans and associates in what is sure to be a time of transition for all.
“Starting in April, I will begin performing as Gamarjobat by myself.
It is my goal to further explore the possibilities of silent comedy and pantomime beyond where it is now and to push the medium to exciting new boundaries.
Please continue to support the new Gamarjobat going forward.”

“At this time, we’ve come to the decision that I, Ketch!, the one with the red mohawk, will leave Gamarjobat at the end of March 2019. Since there are still so many more things that I want to try beyond pantomime, I’ve decided to move to Europe in April.
I plan on continuing to live with childlike curiosity, learning and absorbing as many new things as I can. At the current time, it’s still undecided as to whether I will continue to perform, when I’ll be coming back to Japan, or if I’ll ever even come back at all. I’m planning on sharing information on Twitter so please follow me there if you are at all interested. I am forever grateful from the bottom of my heart to everyone who ever offered us support. Thank you so very very much.”
