Count Arthur Strong’s Entertainment Game

Count Arthur Strong’s Entertainment Game

entertainment BBC 2010

A TV spin-off featuring the character at the heart of the Radio 4 show. Creator Steve Delaney wrote with Graham Linehan and Jeremy Dyson to adapt the series for a Talkback Thames TV show.

The pilot episode features a smorgasbord of showbiz fun involving celebrity guests, impossible riddle rounds and of course the opportunity for contestants to Challenge Arthur and win a shed load of wonderful prizes such as exercise bikes, matching polyester bedding and modestly-sized inflatable dinghies.

Count Arthur Strong’s Entertainment Game turns out to be a nightmare for Arthur – after all, his hair-trigger temper, inability to remember important details and odd relationship with the English language are problematic in a live television environment.

Recorded 9th July 2010 at Teddington Studios
