Gamarjobat arrived on UK shores less than a decade ago, unknown inside and outside of Japan - a mime comedy act wanting to play the Edinburgh fringe.
Five sell out Edinburgh runs later, Gamarjobat have established themselves as world leaders in physical comedy.
Entertaining all ages from 3 to 93 year olds, equally at home performing street theatre and on stage to the most hard-core comedy clubs, Gamarjobat’s appeal could not be more universal.
Their BBC TV show Ketch & HIRO-PON Get It On was screened in 2009 to great acclaim. Other UK TV has included The Slammer, Blue Peter, The Paul O’Grady Show and Comedy Rocks with Jason Manford. Clips can be seen at www.youtube.com/gamarjobat01.
Along with touring worldwide, Gamarjobat performed a run on Broadway and subsequently had a triumphant return to Japan, where they have gained great success with their live shows and have become regulars on entertainment TV shows.
